i had it happen a few times w/ my first arai, now it never happens. i've read about the side pods popping off from time to time. usually w/ new owners.

sometimes you can convice arai to warranty it. sometimes not.

i recommend laying the helmet on it's side and popping one side off at a time, make sure to place it on a cloth or something soft, don't wanna scrratch up the paint.

as for shoei, it's a nice mech. but my wife TZ1 keeps vibrating the bolts out.....and if the bolt comes off, so does the shield.
