Thumbs up Gear Up, Get Out.... Much love from the Forest Gnomes

I sent some of the riding videos from the beginning of the Forest Gnome group to my preggo sis for her amusement. She use to ride the katana a bit and needed something to laugh at.

I got to one of the last rides CoachDave was on and it was the song that always moved me and inspired me to why we did those rides and why they became what they have.

A few years ago one member took the first corner on 149 and his newb friend wrecked. To make his name right after much scruttany he vouched to make up for it by having a ride the next weekend. We went, and he wrecked and was out permanently.

From then wise, informative people like Tiatool, Onewheelmoto, MaxGs, Cdill, Jayboy, 1FC, Cyrick, Hooligan, Reagon, and many more stepped up and started a ride w more and more structure and a strong point to safety and gear.

Whether you shun the FG group or not, it has offered many an opportunity to improve their skills (while strongly not acknowledging ourself as any sort of a training program etc) and has put more people to the track then most street rides. There have been accidents and wrecks, but Im proud to say the mark that the group has left on the community is overall positive.

The last vid I watched was the one Cdill made on CoachDave's ride. To see that many people geared up for a ride they knew was slow paced was a sight for sore eyes.

I know the Forest Gnome rides are lacking at least a dozen as opposed to last year at this time lol... but with all the recent developements etc in my own life I lost alot of ambition to ride. Still it brings much joy to my own ride to be there and provide help to others desiring an opportunity to get out and ride w a cloak of group riders.

Love you all and continue to gear up. Gear isnt the end-all solution but its healthy insurance.

Well said Cali.

Due to outside and trackday responsibilities, I have not had a chance to get out to the forest and lead rides along side Cali nearly as much as I would like. I feel confident that a new batch of "leaders" have emerged to carry on the FG moniker.

Gear up and be safe people.
