no. most of the zr1 are driven by D-BAG that like to rev at every stoplight so other cars can hear and see them.

nice car nonetheless. Wish or classy people would drive it instead of people with all the money in the world with no love for the car.

Hey Calvin, there was a yellow ZR1 at MSR-H several weeks back. Turns out it was John Hennessey testing a car with John Heinricy driving. In the stock tires Heinricy was turning 1:37's and hitting 147 on the back straight.

What a great car.

Here is the video of said Heinricy test session at MSRH. Fun to watch the ZR1 go that fast.

Curt, along with your new data collection maybe you can do a second camera on the bike for a 'rider cam' to put in the insert like on the Heinricy video.

Thanks for posting the video!

Hennessey was beta testing that camera system out there. They were able to get that video straight from the unit with no post processing. Good stuff. Quite pricey though.

Unfortunately, my cam system doesn't have a means to attach two cameras.

from what I understand, the zr1's pilot sport tires offer 80-85% off the full race pilot sport cup tires. in the vid they didn't seem to be strained as much as 707hp would suggest.

Negative ghost rider! Street racing in Texas is a Class B Felony now!

If you choose to play with the new ZR1, you'd better bring some horsepower or race from a standstill. Even then, it's wickedly fast with a good driver.

At speeds above 100mph, the 'vette has the advantage. For $100K I'd still buy a Porsche turbo or a 2 year old Ferrari but there is no denying the new ZR1 is formidable!
