Yes - the gear helps. It sure does. However, part of what I enjoy about riding is the freedom - and being wrapped up in a full suit of armor takes away a lot of that freedom.
btw, totally different similarities.
Full gear on bike doesn't even approach the normal protection of a car with normal seatbelt.

not hating, just pointing out, ride your way, but in my opinion you aren't sacrificing freedom by full gear, but gaining freedom by riding knowing that you've taken the necessary precautions to enjoy your ride and increase your chances if you spill.

anyway, i guess its worn out, we won't agree with each other, but hey, its ok. You ride your way, and I'll ride mine. We can disagree but at least we agree that riding is our passion.

i just bought a new one from bike bandit on closeout for fifty dollars it has all the armor and is made of carbolex if you cant afford anything theses are real nice and better than nothing
