am I the only guy that uses the bottom part of the triple trees to tie down with loop straps? I mean it doesn't hurt your grips at all.

That's what I do

But then everyone said get a canyon dancer, but after this I don't really want one. Although it is the first negative thing I have read in my limited looking. I suppose I will stick with what I know works for now, until I get a trailer and then I will invest in a wheel chock.
