I was blessed enough to have met coach Dave at a forest ride. I didn't know him to well, just enough to see he was a kindhearted man who loved riding. My condolences to his family. You will truly be missed coach.......RIP

RIP Coach Dave. I never knew the guy, but from all the post I read, he seems to have been a kinder spirited person. I personally feel sadden that such bad things happen to great people... it sounds like a beautiful story, even though in the end, a soul was set free of it's human form. I'll keep his family, friends, and acquaintances in my prayers. I wish I could have met him and hope that later in the future, I can meet other people from MH, as nice as he was. Ride the roads tough, smart, free, and keep the fallen in mind, as they smile down on us.

I had the pleasure of meeting Coach Dave on a ride to Yankees Tavern. Although i didn't know him real well he had a way of making you feel like you had known him for years. A class act. Prayers to him and his family. speed Coach Dave

Again, I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Coach Dave, but I'm touched 2 see such an outpour behind his passing.

His family & close friends OBVIOUSLY have something 2 celebrate & be proud of, & that's the opportunity 2 be able 2 call such a person, a friendly presence in their lives, no matter how short or long the time because
good people who help u make good memories, stay in your heart forever.

You should all take comfort in KNOWING a CLASS ACT made it 2 a much better place with no regrets or reservations.

Even in his passing, Dave's big heart still spreads good deeds 2 those he didn't know, like myself. As I'm reading reactions & comments about him, they make me WANT 2 reflect on being a better person in my own life, so that I 2 can spread such joy 2 the hearts of those that I know, so that they may have that 2 reflect on and comfort them when I'm gone.

Bless

Me, too. I wish I could realistically say that people would react the same way to my death; but I know it's not so! (So far...)

Pegs down is in reference to saying that they fallen will be a passenger on your bike. Saying they will be with you in spirit.

putting the pegs down doesn't seem like a bad idea at all. I've always need someone with me, why not make it someone great...

I have been offline for a few days. I just read all of the threads about Coach. Sooooo terrible for this to happen to such a wonderful and high spirited person. My prayers are with the family.

Coach Dave,

May you have beautiful roads, and neverending sun to ride forever in the heavens. Passenger pegs will be down. bless you and your family.
RIP Coac Dave

I think the pegs down thing originated from the old thing of putting the riders boots on the horse facing backwards...

I think I met Dave at the Anderson Shell a month or so ago. He came over and was wondering about the Beetle bags on my '04 ZZR. Seemed like a nice guy, sorry to hear about what happened. RIP Dave.
