decisions, decisions

trying to decide between track bodywork and a steering damper

Eventually I'll have both, but which to buy first?

Are you making it a track ho?

If so, why don't you buy the race bodywork and sell your street fairings. That will pay for the steering damper.

Steering damper.
Without it, your track bodywork may get a work out.

This seems like a smart idea, if your not going to ride it for a while. But if you decide to hit the tracks immediately, then get the steering damper first.

I would say Damper as well, but also keep in mind if your street plastics are in good shape you can get more money for them, than if you went to a track and had an oops and then went to sell them.

I'd say 90% of the MH community will only see your track pics and not how fast you were really riding at the track.

The true poser would choose some juicy plastics.

But a dampener sounds more promising

Is an 07 R6 prone to head shake? Is the factory damper so bad that it should be that high on the list for replacement? I'm still running my factory damper and it hasn't been an issue.

How long after you buy the body work, would you have to wait for a dampner? How many track days have you done?

It doesn't come with one, and yes, they are prone to head shake.

I didn't think the damper was all that important til I had a 70mph tank slapper. Damper fo /> .... unless of course the fairings are woodgrain
