The exersises in the back of this MSF manual were helpful.

Ride often and disiplined for the 1st 6 mths. After that get in on a track day. If nothing else your'll feel more in control at street speeds afterwards and more confident when braking. etc.

On the street I've developed some habbits like when stoped at a traffic light at night I'll flash my brake light when I see a car approaching in the mirrors, not to mention keeping it in gear. Belive it or not bikes actually get rearended by cars fairly often.
Experience is not something you get until just after you needed it.

I like the cartoons in that book. Pretty good advice in there too.
