Friggin Cold up here (North (pole) Chicagoland
Left Houston on Friday 75F and sweating in a t-shirt on the plane. I'm now in northern Chicagoland and its' -7F with a stiff wind. The ski resorts have closed down because it too cold.... This sucks - I generally don't mind the cold but when you can't play outside.... It's not quite as bad as Houston in July-Aug (so I'm told) where you cannot play outside either.
The area is really pretty with 3 ft of snow and the decorations particularly @ night.
I need to find a temperate place to live where you can ride year round but be close to decent ski/snowboarding. Never below 0F or above 85...
Will take the train back down Friday with the kids...
Happy xmas everyone!!
