Motorcycle Ornament...What???

When: Thursday, December 18th.
  • Meetin' & Eatin' starts @ 7pm.
  • Exchange begins @ 8:00pm.

Where: Jack's Garage in League City.

I've heard good things about this place, and it seems like the perfect setting for what we're gonna do.

MAP:http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...&z=13&iwloc=r2

What: Holiday Ornament Exchange--the rules are simple. Make an ornament out of anything as long as it came off a motorcycle.
  • Paint a spark plug red and dip it in glitter.
  • Turn part of an old exhaust into an angel.
  • Make a sprocket snow flake.

It doesn't matter what you use or how you go about it as long as you turn something that was once a part of a bike into a Christmas tree ornament. Wrap that sucker up and bring it with you.

You can strive to "hide" the part from the motorcycle or make the design so that it's very obvious. Whatever you decide is fine. Be as creative or silly as you want.

We'll swap the wrapped ornaments and open them up to see what we get. If you want to trade for multiple ornaments, make and wrap as many as you'd like to bring.

I'd like to turn this into a MH holiday tradition.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you're curious, here's a bit of info I found about Jack's Garage:
New sports bar and grill in League City with a classic car theme. Great atmosphere, nicely decorated and very friendly staff.
One side is devoted to the favorite past-time of drinking. Very long bar, pool table, several pubs tables, and of course a bunch of tvs. The bartender was very nice and chatty.
The other side is the restaurant and is separated to still provide a kid-friendly environment. They also have outdoor seating on the patio which looks very inviting when it's nice outside. We sat on the restaurant side and ordered several rounds of drinks before our food and all was delivered quickly and correctly. I had the grilled chicken sandwich, which was described on a jalapeno sourdough bun which was the best sandwich (and bread) I've had in a long time! The fries were also very good, crispy and fresh. Friends had a couple of the huge Hemi burgers with all the trimmings and everyone said it was obviously fresh and grilled to order.
You should really put a weight restriction on this. Some smartass will bring a lead-acid battery spray painted red and white.
This sounds fun! I MIGHT make it. I have my last final that night and I would love to get out after and have a drink... I mean an ornament. I won't put my name on the list, though, because it will depend on when I finishe the test... it may be too late.
