Thank he had the sense to wear some gear. There is a 50% mortality rate on broken a pelvis. I had the same thing happen to me. The pelvis jacked up my internals pretty fn bad. But it sounds like the other things are relatively minor and he should be ok in a few months. I wish him all the best.

Yo;

Talked to your aunt last night and she told me they weren't going to do anything until the take another cat scan of his brain. To find out what if any damage there might be. He is still being kept sedated but he is trying to move his left leg and arm, which they say is a good sign. Your aunt said she won't call me until she finds out something new. as of now he has two fractures in his pelvis and his jaw has two fractures and his right hand is broken. They are expecting a full recovery after a time. Your aunt didn't give me any timeline as to how long that will be. Will let you know if I hear anything new.

OK guys, my aunt has created a webpage dedicated to my cousin with daily updates and the like if anyone cares to check it out.

After speaking with my grandpa, we got more specifics regarding my cousin's mishap. Apparently lack of sight (going over a hill) and above the speed limit he approached a car turning out in front of him. He took an alternate route through the ditch, stayed on the bike, and collided with a tree mid air. His only form of protection was a helmet. Without a doubt, it has saved his life. Wear your gear folks!!!

As of yesterday, they were relocating his breathing tube (from his mouth to his neck) and feeding tubes (from his nose to his belly) sometime this morning in order to start surgery on his jaw...after that is complete they will transfer him to another hospital for the surgery to replace his broken pelvis.

Thanks for the prayers guys.
