Red face help..please

hey fellow riders can anyone direct me in the right path on adjusting i guess my front end.. i mean the front end is way to soft.. a friend of mine said i needed to try and adjust my fork springs.. does anyone know someone to do this for me or if its pretty simple can anyone give me some knowledge on performing this procedure.. thanks for any help..
