And yes, Danbury is between Alvin and Angleton, just about a mile south of 35. Town has a couple thousand people (I guess, as we just moved here) and it's pretty much a ghost town.

it's so boooooooringgggg....can't goto work as its closed, and I can't go ride. And I'm broke as , was suppose to get paid today, but work is closed for the mandatory evacuation.

My wife won't turn the news off. Sure the hurricane is interesting, but jeez....watching the same old stuff. It's not like conditions out in Galveston are changing so fast that you gotta keep it on the news all day

The wife just called, and said that The Weather Channel reported that the mandatory evacuation of Angleton, Alvin and Freeport was lifted. Doesn't make any sense.


I'm hoping they will change up all the BS they are reporting. I'm wanting to see Jim Cantore wheelie a fiddy on the Seawall

Because once a storm gets within distance the thinking is one is safer to hunker down than trying to evacuate due to the possibility of getting stuck on the road during the peak of the storm while trying to evacuate.
