Arai Tear offs Q?

I got an Arai RX-7 Corsair for my birthday and an extra shield with tear off posts. I put one tear off on and it seems to be real foggy looking through the shield (yes I took off the protective film). This is my first experience with tear off’s so my question is………Is it supposed to be foggy or am I doing something wrong? I’ve only put one tear off on and was hoping to apply at least three.
