Will 01 R1 forks fit my 99 R1

My left fork on my bike is starting to go, and is leaking now. I found a set of 01 R1 forks and want to know if they will fit my 99'. The guy that has them said it should fit perfectly, but I want to make sure before I shell out the cash.

Thanks for any info.

+1 on the body work changed a little bit, notice the headlights are different along with the tail and lights.
