glad to hear everyone involved is doing ok. can't wait to hear from keith to know he made it home ok.

i hope everyone learned a valuable lesson. just 2 weeks ago we all lost a very dear friend in that exact corner. Tim Waters. I made a point to visit his memorial while we were waiting for help to arrive and thanked that it wasn't any worse than it was. Ya'll need to slow down out there, remember, you're riding a CRUISER, not a sport bike. our 700lb bikes aren't quite as nimble as the sportbikes, so you need to be paying extra attention, and SLOWING DOWN.

All I kept thinking when I heard about this was "Thank they are okay" and Not that beautiful Mean Streak!!!

Heal up and fix those rides so we can cruise again.

yeah, about 5-10 miles south of 244, exact same corner that took Tim.

might I take this time to mention, thats why I dont do group rides with folks I dont know, or their riding habits, much less on a cruiser trying to play metric.
Glad everybody is ok, as we sadly know, it could have been worse.
now, lets live and learn and have fun out there.

Alright this is just messed up so I gotta say it...
first of all... NO ONE was trying to "play" metric. It was a misjudgment. Happens to the best of us.
Second... group rides are for the people who actually ride
third... the only way it could have been worse is, yea.. we all know. But the guy who owned the property that I asked to leave the bike with had a pic of Tim at the site so for me, personally... it couldn't have gotten much worse.
