Rider down

I'm fortunate enough to be typing this myself. I went down Saturday night in college station. Bike is not in bad shape. needs a new windscreen and upper front fairing (anyone with spare parts for an 05 black R1). Low speed lay down to keep fom getting run over and as I was sliding I hit the left turn curb and went over the handle bars. I broke my collar bone, shoulder blade, and 4 ribs. Gonna be a month or so before i can ride again. will post pics later.

Yes had full gear on

Sorry to hear, but like you said... at least you're fortunate to be typing this up yourself. Now get on the mend and get riding again soon ! Glad to hear you were wearing gear also.

Anytime you walk away is good. Glad you are ok. I dropped my bike today on my way to work being stupid. :( (we are both fine) I know was with me cuz of what happened or should I say what didn't happen. Take care...

what caused you to go down? I don't really get a very good picture of the scenario from the first post...

I have a smoke puig double bubble, a nose, and a left side fairing that aren't in terrible shape. Windscreen is perfect, just need to remove the decals. The left side is pretty nice, but the nose has a crack near the mirror mount. A brand new factory Yamaha nose painted for the raven is less than $100 at The pictures are in the photobucket link. The fairing sanded down nice. The marks you see were mostly from the decals and not scratches.
I am a Nobody. Nobody is Perfect. Therefore, I am perfect.

looking for a trackbike!!

Im kind of worried myself about riding this semester in College Station. Every single person on the road is on their cell phone and under 22 years old lol. I almost get t-boned,side swiped, or rear ended every day in my truck......
hope everything works out for ya
