biker wave

Anyone ever wave to bike cops? Do they wave back?

I was riding down Park Row and a cruiser waved to me and I waved back. When I looked in my mirror at his back, he had light bars and the blue PD uniform.

I wave at biker cops. Normally they're too busy with their radar guns to wave back.

Yeah, I wave to biker cops. I only acknowledge other cops if they acknowledge me first. I've been told that they laugh and get suspicious if you are overly welcoming.

owned.

I usually just wink at the cute girls in cages if my visor is up or if I have the clear shield in. I dun care if the bf/husband is in the car either.

I've waved at a couple HPD bikes, only received one back... kinda reminds me of waving at harley/cruisers.

About 7 or 8 years ago, I was test riding a BMW R1200R from Wild West Honda/BMW. I took the bike around the neighborhood, behind the dealership. In the neighborhood, i turned onto a street, and immediately noticed a motorcycle cop standing next to his bike in the median. I was crawling, fumbling with the weird set-up of the bike's turn signals, then when I finally turned it off, I accelerated just a little bit to get up to speed (not even 30mph, actually). I looked to acknowledge the cop as I rode by him, waved, and nodded, being sure to keep it under 30. Well, it was around 3:00 in the afternoon, and we were in a school zone. Next thing I knew, he got on his bike, pulled me over, and gave me a ticket for doing 26 in a School Zone. I apologized, and told him I didn't notice the sign because I was distracted trying to figure out how to turn the signals off. He didn't reply and wrote me the ticket anyway. *sshole!!

i don't wave to anybody, yeah i guess i'm one of those guys. waving is a distraction to me, i'd rather be looking 1/4 mile ahead of me instead.

Motojocks don't play around. If they're going to bother to turn on their lights.....you're getting a ticket.
