*Rant* People Messing with My Bike

Does anyone have a problem with people sitting on, touching, and messing with their bikes ?? I'm relitively new to street bikes and I already can not stand people messing with my bike. The first time I rode to work I caught someone sitting on it and rolling back and forth in the parking space. I've caught 2 other people sitting on it (without asking) and one guy reached over and revved it when I was sitting on it and putting my gloves on ! WTF ? Do people have no respect ??? Do I open people's car doors and sit in the seat or climb on their hood and sit there ?? I just don't get why people think they can just mess with my bike... just because you're intrigued and jealous because you wish you had one does not give you the right. *deep breath* Sorry, had to let that out.

I see it all of the time, and to be honest don't comprehend it.
Like you, I equate it to jumping up and down on somones hood.

Haven't had that happen yet. But would probably hit someone. For all I know they are trying to steal it.

im exactly the same way about my bike man. all my friend(that don't have a motorcycle), think im just the biggest D**K, cause i will not let them sit on my baby girl. now don't get me wrong, if they have a bike and know what they are doing, by all means, take a seat and see how she feels

I work at a Sprint store in a mall and i stopped riding to work because of like that... I hate it when people F*** my bike. This one time I decided to ride because it was a beautiful day and it sat out there for 6 hours. when i left i noticed someone had smudged a brownie (no not ) on the lower fairing which makes me believe it was some little f***ing kid and their parents didnt give a . I also hate it when they come and looked at it when your about to walk away and then they lean in and look at the guages and stuff like that.

I'm glad others share my frustration. I don't think I'm too much of a jerk about it... if someone ASKS me to sit on it and I know they are familiar with bikes I let them try it out. I may get an alarm with a motion sensor to at least make noise when people are with it.

Don't get one that only lets you know, get one that lets them know by having an alarm go off. A loud, very obnoxious alarm!

I had some A$$ key my HD last night. I walked outside my hotel room and he was leaned all on my bike with his leg up on the peg then decided to just have a seat while carrying on a conversation with another biker. He was asked kindly to remove himself from my bike and went and sat on his friends bike behind mine. I walked out this morning and there was a scratch on the back fender and side of my gas tank. His friend being a biker and knowing that it was not his bike should have said something to this guy. How do you not know that when it isn't yours you just keep to yourself???

i have never had anyone sit on my bike. most of the time im riding backroads with friends, and rarely get off the bike, maybe to eat or somthing. but if i rode my bike to work and came out and saw people on my bike, sh*t id bust them in the effin mouth and then take their wallet. i had a friend sit on my old bike (he dosnt ride,or own a bike) and when he got off he kicked my undertail and cracked the plastic. that was it, noone sits on my bike noone touches my bike, and noone rides my bike.

but yeah next time u see someone sitting on ur bike, knock em out then take their money- for real tho

I've had it happen to my bike once that I know of.

Every time I go out to eat or go inside anywhere I try my best to park and sit somewhere that I can keep an eye on my bike at all times. About a month ago I was at Bennigans in Humble and had my bike parked up front. I kept seeing people walk by it and look at the gauges and everything, which that is fine. Then one time someone walked by and sat on it and stood it up off the kickstand and started rocking it back and forth. I tried to get out there as fast as I could but by the time I did they were already gone.

The people in the table behind me saw it and the guy was like, thats an instant whoopin if you ask me. And said he would of helped if I would have caught them....lol

Another reason I always park my bike in gear. So the asshat doesn't let it roll off the kickstand.
