Anyone ever heard of or used bike skinz before?

http://www.bikeskinz.com/designtypes.htm

Tom maybe seen one of these before??

I'm sceptical .... seems like if it were worth it, everyone would be talking about it / getting one.

Not worth it in my opinion...

Let's see...

$450+ for the skins, couple hours of putting them on yourself - with a pretty high risk of up or not LOOKing as good as you thought they were (gamble)...

or..

Take it to Tony with Tom's Paint & BodyShop and get it done for more or less (probably less) and have him paint the bodywork for you - he's quick, has great reviews, is a sponsor on the site, has painted for over 25 or so racers (probably more) and he's in spring so you can always go see the progress..

like I said - not worth it in my opinion..

whoops, yeah Tony, thats who I ment to reffer to originally....

anyway, to play devils advocate, but you can get a profesional to install the skins and if it gets screwed up you can repurchase for a discoutn and would probably (sounds like) be looking at >$700 total installed with some pretty outrageously custom designs.

Although with what I think I want, its probably more worth it to me to go see Tony

cool idea but the as mentioned above plus the sticker isn't permanent, when you take it off there is residue; if you leave it on long enough in the sun there may be paint fade...

If you were considering one of the smaller sticker kits it would be more feasible....

I could see maybe getting a kit that would accent your bike and that you could put on yourself. I think wrapping the whole bike is not worth it. If you don't get the edges to tack down right they could start to peel up.

For that price get a custom paint job.

+1 on the getting a paint job. it will be better return on $450 that is for sure and will last way longer.

so is this the type of sticker/decal that are slapped on the fast and furious wanna-be cars.

that shark thing looks crazy, you will def. turn some heads but gatta see it in person to make a final decision. its good to be unique but its all on you if you are lookin for somethin permanent or temp. might get lucky and find them in autozone/pep boys. is there one of a punanie? lol a coochie on wheels.

Tapeworks.com has some nice accent kits. Still a little pricey though.

I'm thinking if they were about 1/2 that price it might be worth it.......the industry has been wrapping cars for years.......the materials and ink and so forth they use now will hold up for a LONG LONG time.

I'd have to think you could peel and re-wrap it different but I wouldn't expect to be able to go back to the original paint very easily if at all.

I wouldn't mind some tear marks going down the bike; but the right side is already there... hahaha...

cool, but the opinion of liking it or not isnt exactly what Im asking, I'm more interested in if anyone has been ripped off here, what people think of the price, did it actually come out the way the website claims it will, and generally speaking, is it legit .... opinions are one thing, experience is what Im looking for.

I got no experience with it but I dont see how it could possibly look as good as paint.
Maybe from 30 feet it would look okay but if the bike is parked and you are standing next to it, you are gonna be able to tell it's not paint.
On the other hand $450 would be unlikely to cover the cost of a paint scheme as complex as these graphics kits.
