I agree with all of that, but why would Suzuki make it as easy as to do what people having been doing for years now by swapping the GSXR front end? Sounds too easy for a manufacturer of any kind to pick up on, they always seem to want to make it more complicated (or at least sound that way).

The damper rod forks are cheaper to make, and those kinds of things make it easy for them to make comments about keeping the price down for the "common man".

Suzuki always seemed to be surprised that that bike turned out to be such a popular racing platform... IMHO.

yep 2nd gen ftmfw. i can do 57s on a bone stock one with race tires on it around TWS (Texas World Speedway). old one no bueno
