i helped my dad change out a guys coil springs on a jetta once, like really helped, not shade tree mechanic help... he wanted his car lowered and didn't know how to change them.. his bff, my cousin who is a mechanic for vw, didn't want to do it for him.
i'm sure if i had to i'd find a way to change the tire.
