the icon vest does not breathe well compared to the other back protectors. you'll have a wetback before you know it it's also too bulky to fit under proper fitting leathers which makes it more of street gear.

i would NEVER trust my ability to talk with Icon. seeing that their helmets fall apart through a few months of just wearing the darn things. jackets fall apart when you crash. gloves grind through quickly when you crash, and they cover more of a fashion statement then safety concerns.

it's your back, your money....but i wouldn't trust icon gear for anything above 50mph.

I agree. The vest is really bulky - not meant to be worn under a jacket. I would think it was more designed to be worn in lieu of a jacket for street riders that are looking for 1.) either a different look or 2.) looking to get more airflow than their mesh jacket.
