Leathers vs. weather

I own 1 set of leathers. Hey, I live in Houston and it's usually hot so I bought a good set of perforated, 1 pc. leathers. What do you do when the weather turns off cold and possibly rai__? My Sidi boots are vented too.

Please don't tell me to man up or quit being a wuss. I stopped being a tough guy when I found out I was no longer 10' tall and bullet proof. I am content with being old and fat but I want to be warm and dry too.

Carry a rain suit and some under armor and you should be good.

layers...

Under armor base, t-shirt, dress shirt or heavy pull over..then if need fleece pull over or hoody then the jacket. Risk of rain? 2 piece rain suit in a tank bag.

most of that stuff can't be worn on the track. this is the racers lounge, i'm pretty sure he's talking about riding on the track when it's cold and rainy....

i have the same prob, full perf'd teknic leathers...i just don't ride when it's cold and/or wet, lol. but they do make rain covers for leathers. usually about 100-150 bucks depending on brand and make of your leathers.

You're right, it's a problem that comes from just scanning the 'new posts' list. I'd presume under armor or frog-togs, some kinda of base layer are ok.
My guess would be, searching for something liek that, which is also wind-resistant/blocking that you could wear under the leathers.

wear a poncho over your leathers.....or do like me, dont ride in the R bomb

even if i'm paying for the trackday.....i'd rather sit out and lose on the money rather then risking wadding up my bike and my body.

sorry, but no thanks, i'll save my tires and my energy for a good day. but that's just me.

wrd. plus it's a PITA to clean the bike after you ride in the rain, if you're lucky to stay on it. forget cleaning it if you wad it up while it's raining...just ask fuknrobert. lmao.

Now that's what I'm looking for. I have plenty of street gear but didn't know something like that existed. Thanks. I was thinking that I might have to go with something under the leathers and deal with drying them out.

I would ride the track in the rain, but I run on street tires, not slicks and I ain't all that fast anyway.

Wind breaker to cover the holes and whatever else you need under the leathers to stay warm.

I use underarmor. when real cold I wear a wind breaker under my leather jacket to stop the wind. I stay tolerably warm using that set up.

I have a set of non-perforated leathers made by Alpinestars for the cooler months. I also wear UnderArmor under my leathers.
