Do you guys think I could take this to the apartments? There are no "park at your own risk" signs or anything. My main issue, is them taking so long to give me a garage, I know they have available ones..

There has to be some sort of "reasonable care" situation, right?

I hear talking outside of my apartment, my bike is parked right below (I live on the second floor)

I look out the window, I see 2 black males near my bike. One goes to the truck, starts to back it up towards the bike. I immedieatley run and wake my wife up, tell her to call 911, and NOT to hang up till I come back.

I grab my shotgun, almost to the door and I hear a crash. Im in panic mode trying to load the gun before I hit the door. I run down stairs, the bike is laying on the left side, and they are trying to pick it up. I yell, they jump in the truck and haul . They went toward the exit gate I KNOW is broken, I make a shortcut to the gate. By the time I got there they were reversing, I raise and aim but think twice. I run to the other exit, to catch them leaving..

Black 97-99 ford f150, single cab, paper plates on the right rear side of the window. No tailgate, with a spare wheel on the left rear.

2 black males,

Driver
-5'7-5'10 skinny, short hair, Blue jeans, red shirt.

Passenger
-6'0-6'2 medium build, no shirt, black pants.

I would ABSOLUTELY tell them that the reason someone was even able to get so close to you bike was because the security gates were broken and you don't have a garage...

Might also suggest that if you don't get a garage next month you might consider them in breach of lease, etc., etc., and threaten with the intervention of a frivilous lawsuit based on their negligence. (without the intent of said lawsuit of course.)

I would suggest that if you don't get a garage ... you start putting up signs (as a concerned citizen) letting all the other renters know about the broken gate and the near theft of your bike.

Never said to keep it in a place that kids could get to it... i agree leaving guns where kids can get them is not only bad but illegal as well. So back to my question if you own a gun why not keep it loaded?

I had my first bike stolen from apts. Glad to hear you didnt fly off and shoot. You would not have gotten the service you did from the cops. They would have been too busy handcuffing you. Where you surfin at the time?

That would equate to 100+ horses right. That's a lot of horses to steal. Not sure how many horse power you have in that bike.

Glad you still have the bike and the bad guys were caught.

You still awake!!!! LOL!
