Free tree seedlings

The City of Houston is offering free tree seedlings that are appropriate for our region. The species include Native Pecan, Shumard Oak, Mexican White Oak, Post Oak, Laurel Oak and Mayhaw.

If you're interested in FREE tree seedlings, contact the Houston Arboretum at 713-681-8433. The Arboretum is offering four trees per person while supplies last. The trees will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Spring is right around the corner, and it is the perfect time to plant trees. Spend time outdoors discovering the gift of nature, right in our own backyards. Plant a tree and share that experience with your community, family and friends.

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength-
