what a small world indeed. I dont talk to Chris much anymore since he moved to Colorado and started being a photographer, but he comes back once a year or so and we get the old crew together.

Im still slack-jawed at how weird that is.

GRAFFITI done as art is COOL. I love driving past the eyes on 59 across from Minute Maid Park. I'm sure they had permission to do that and I think it looks amazing. As a matter of fact, I think it dresses a building and/or a room up - not down.

Scribbling your name with a paint can on private property, businesses or train cars ~ Not awesome or cool.

I'd really like to have someone (with talent) tag a wall in my garage.
But it has to look good.
I hate seeing tags around houston with just your letters/numbers

BFFE / ROLLS / K*I*N*G*S / etc...

there's a big difference between that spray K*I*N*G*S on your garage and real artists with paint.

does he have permission from the owner to do that? does the community agree that it's ok? if so then great. no problem. someone here offered an inside wall, very generous.

I still can't read it though, what does it say? not exactly the kind of thing I'd like to see in my part of town. but whatever goes for art in another area.....

if it's legal then it CAN be badass, but if it's not it's a trashy eyesore that should be covered and ignored. trying not to make houston look worse is the idea. I know of nowhere in town where that painting IMPROVES the area or it's property value. it makes it look ghetto. we have more than enough ghetto here. but some people don't care and that's the problem.
so I'm to understand that this is better for our community? How again?

Would u know the difference if it were legal or illegal by looking at it? Are u gonna go into the property and ask if its legal to decide if u like it or not??
