RIP then.... that's two officers in one week.... not a good week for PCT 7 or motorcyclists in general.

Man thats sad RIP to the officer.

Totally not influenced by this story I actually meant to post this last week when I saw it.

I have now seen TWO moto cops totally disregard red lights in plain sight and just go right through them.

One was around 6:30am this moto cop lives in my neighborhood and we were both at a 4 way intersection by my neighborhood that only gets busy during rush hour times. Well he was waiting to turn left and I was waiting to go striaght. He just goes on ahead and takes off after being stopped for about 8 seconds.

Second was a diff cop...He was also in the left turn lane when his light turned green he came out of the left turn lane and went straight under the red light we were waiting at.

Neither one of these turned their lights on...what a shame they give other moto's and popo's a bad rap...

saw the report on the officer who died - the car driver made an illegal u-turn in front of him and he hit the drivers door and bent the side of the car badly.

Officer never had a chance. RIP.
