well, i agree big rides are usually a bad thing. But it was nice to get everyone together and go for a ride, it was a nice route, but proved to be a bit harder for some then others. No matter how many times i asked, DOES EVERYONE HAVE ENOUGH GAS TO MAKE IT 20 MILES?1? it still seemed to fail and no matter how many times i told everyone NOT TO RIDE OVER YOUR LEVEL! it still failed :(

all and all, after 2 lowsides , 6 hours of riding, and a couple of stops for gas later. I am finnally home. back hurts... but thats just from riding and twisting making sure everyone was ok.

I would like to thank texlurche and his wife for being the sweapers for the ride. they helped out a great deal. but they can only do so much. i got some video of the ride, and took some pictures. going to go through the video and slap something together, ill have the pictures up sometime tomorrow.

You had someone else run out of gas, after we left? and another low side? They OK?

Thanks Gryphin for leading the ride. You did a great job. And I also want to say thanks to Texlurch and his wife. It must have been a tough job with such a large pack. Kudos!

yeah, it was a lonnnng day.. maybe a few too many to keep up with and get thru intersections.

Started off with a rider showing up with an empty tank, so we got to sit on the side of 59 for 30 minutes. Fun, fun.

Then, we had one looking back and drive off in the ditch... of course today was the day he decided to leave the jacket home, so he got some rash and sore ribs.

Then to finish the day, we had one run wide in a curve and lay the bike down. Luckily he had his gear on and was at low enough speed it was more ego damage than anything, and a good wake up call to slow down and not worry about keeping up..

We'll do it again with a smaller group, but it was good to put some faces with names.

Well... glad no one got seriously hurt! And thanks Texlurch for being the sweeper! I kept meaning to finally introduce myself, in person, but with such a big group, everytime we stopped, it was time to go. Next time!

I agree, the group was a little big, but I had fun and enjoyed meeting some new people.

Rob, that camera phone takes some pretty good pics!

It was great meeting you Michael. BTW, those pics are not from my camera phone. I had my Nikon D70s with me, in the tailbag.

Ah, that would explain it then. I thought I saw you walking around with a camera phone taking pics, it must have been someone else.

It was good to meet you too, I look forward to riding with you again. I'm a big fan of the 919, it's looks like a brother to my bike.
