Not quite, other than being more exotic and hence more desired for thieves they don't get into accidents as often as the japanese. Therefore, their insurance rates remain fairly average.

Yeah, they are pretty much the same price R1 vs Duc to insure. But still cheaper for the two of them then 1 Busa:/:

have you had an opportunity to ride the 07 R1? I was curious about the slipper clutch and the digital throttle and intake changes.

I haven't had the chance, I'm REAL happy with mine so it would take a lot to get me to buy a new one. But mine isn't completely stock either so it wouldn't be a real apples to apples comparison.

well I'm glad your happy with your bike. I have been thinking about moving from 600 to a liter bike and the R1 has my heart all the way. I saw your photos, did you keep the marchesini wheels? Those are a piece of art!

Stopped at a shop and checked out the new R1 looks like flippin nice and very comfy. Clyde let me know if you ride one how it compares.
