BDSM
Bumblebee, Debra, Shuhboogie and Me. Why? What were you thinking?
Yesterday, Me and Shuhboogie met at Debra's house to visit her and to take Neil/TMAX's bumblebee FZ6 out for a spin. I've always loved that bike and am considering buying it. It was great to see Deb and awesome to see her WALKING...cautiously, but still walking! Neal's overalls, Pit shirts and his red MotoHouston TMAX hoodie are still hanging in the garage right where he left them. (You can see them in the background of the side-view pic below.) The three of us reminisced quite a bit about that crazy character. Hard to believe it's nearly been a year since his passing. The test ride was fun. It's a great bike, and I love the way it looks with the custom paint. The thing is so stylish. Too quiet for me, though. I would need to take the baffles out first thing. ![]() Also, as a surprise, Shuhboogie handed over the key to his Interceptor for a little test run. (That's more in line with what I want for my primary bike, as you know.) Thank you, Boog! It was quick but I need more torque than it provided. It's 800 CCs with 104 hp and 55 ft lbs of torque. The ZX-6R (a bike I'm considering) is 636 CCs with 131 hp but only 52.5, unless I'm reading something wrong. So, I think I really do need a liter bike. Still need to test ride Tiatool's R1 and see how that feels...but it does have some upgrades. MaxGs' S1000RR felt PERFECT, but I think it's a little overkill. And it was still in break-in when I rode it a couple months ago. Anyway, the search continues for my perfect bike, and I may have a bumblebee in my stable soon. ![]() Here are some pics, cuz I know you love 'em! |

It was a very fun motorcycle weekend. Got to ride with Jimrad, Bucknut and gang on Saturday. Met up with your group, William Wolfen's DS ride group, and Horn09 & friend at Yankees. (MotoHouston in the house!) And then BDSM yesterday. Love, love, love. |

I just reread your post. Neil would have an absolute fit that you spelled his name wrong. LMAO!!
And I like the way you left out the part where you flat ran off and left me, on my bike, while I'm desperately trying to keep up on the FZ6. LOL |

I wasn't going to ride Saturday because I knew what Princess and I were doing Sunday.
"He who shall not be named" messaged me about riding Saturday but I ignored it with no intent of doing so. Then JerseyJoe messaged me and I was like " , now I GOTTA go." LOL |

I know. I would be buying it for other reasons...and as an addition to what I already have. It would be a 3rd bike. I want to hold on to my 300, get the bumblebee, trade in my 650 and get a super sport.

Not sure where you are getting your numbers, 130hp is very high for the ZX6R. Unless you're talking about a built race bike. Probably looking at a real world 120hp.
Have you had a chance to take a triple for a spin? If midrange/torque is what you're after I would look at the triumphs and maybe the FZ9. I waited a long time to get a literbike, mainly because i felt like it was overkill for the street.. but you only live once. If your heart is set on a liter don't waste money jumping around. Go get it! |

I know that, you guys! Give me a break! I'm not that dumb! Both of you have different style bikes in your garage so you should understand the concept. I clearly talked about two different issues in my post and even gave a summary sentence at the end defining the two topics covered (just like they taught me in English class).
I want the fz6 for the style of it AND my search continues for my perfect bike. |

https://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/ka...mance_2017.php I have not ridden a Triple or any Triumphs. I want a bike with fairings for my go-fast bike. I need the wind protection. My heart is not set on a liter bike and I am trying to avoid overkill. If I compare specs of each bike I test ride I should be able to end up with the perfect one. Maybe a 636 with different sprockets? Idk. What I know right now is that I need something with more pull than the Interceptor but not quite as much as the S1000RR. |

I think what you're looking for isn't necessarily break neck speed. You're craving gobs and gobs of torque. Look into big Twins.... Ducati Monsters or the new Ducati Supersport 939, 113hp/71 lb/ft. I4/V4 in super sport bikes make all their power in the top end. North Honda/Ducati (formerly Bob Lunsford) on 45N will let you test ride their shiny Supersport. I think you will like it a lot.
