woot! hope on the horizon.

to anyone that has been following along with my bike misadventures, here is my 4th bike this year, a 07 sv650. it's pretty great so far. i'm waiting on some stuff to arrive from the interwebs, but so far i have picked up some cheap helibars, and they are pretty comfy. i'm waiting on some turn signals and resistors before i get much more road time with it. i work with a lot of cops, and i live in montgomery. if i'm seen riding a bike like this, making noise, and only having some rear turn signals, guess whose getting a ticket? lol

anough talk, here are pics!
https://photos.google.com/share/AF1Q...o5X05nWXdPV3ZR

the leo vince sounds good, but one of the spring clips on the can is gone and it doesnt feel like a very solid connection. anyone know if the cheaper delkevic slip on would be a direct fit to the leo vince pipe?
i posted on svrider also, hoping to get some info.

it feels good to be back on an sv!! this one is so much more power/quickness than i remember my old 01 sv being!

I don't want to know how much money was lost in 4 bike trades.. or was it 3? Regardless, congrats on obtaining a reliable set of wheels.

flipped the ninja 250 for a great profit. that's where i stopped doing great. lol

since i put the duke 390 on credit, i'll have some debt to pay off for a while. no big deal. i'm looking at it as rebuilding my credit.

i'm hoping to keep this bike for a long time.

I didn't think front turn signals were required.

if you have any turn signals, you need 4, and they all have to work... basically is how i understand it..

i'm pretty sure its ok for me to run around my little town and get a feel for the bike, but im not doing much today, as i'm watching 2 sick girls.
i did just put new brake pads in the front though. nap time ftw!

I see front signals, or are my eyes getting that bad? must be LED signals and blinking at a rapid pace (or maybe not at all)? Why not just add the resistors?

in the pic with my gf sitting on the bike, it has signals. the right one stopped working. the resistor is good, and the wiring was sound... just a broken led, i guess... the good thing about cheap LED signals is that they are cheap. i've got 4 en route that i think i paid $10 for.

You can have any number of turn signal blinkers and any number can work including none. Not required, not inspected for and no citations can be issued. Unless you make a turn and fail to use hand signal. That you could be ticketed for.

i'm not sure why i'm liking them. they are lower than the nearly flat bars that came with the bike. i didnt like those, but the helis feel so much better.
thanks again, that was a great deal!

Well if you want to not get harassed and decide to swap out the exhaust LMK I want to try the fitment on my Hyosung. mainly because there aren't any "Full" exhausts made for it.

I think I came out to look at you Ford Ranger a while back. You took my 08 blk/orange gsxr for a spin.

what exhaust do you have?
my leo vince's muffler is pretty banged up, but it still sounds really nice

I have a 07 b2300 that I use to pick up bike from all over tx. 200k and still getting 24mpg doing 85. I still get 28 if I do the speed they test at.
I'm looking for a full exhaust. They only offer bolt-ons for the hyo 650 gt. I'm more curious to see what it'll take to get it to fit and saving weight.
