'dutch reach' solves doors being opened on cyclists

however, this wont work to stop those road raging drivers from trying to open their car doors at you on purpose while you attempt to filter through traffic:

You can't even get people to drive without their head in their phones. You actually expect them to think about looking when they open a door?
Not going to happen unfortunately.

Douche reach. Fine adjustment tool for the cager that can't fully execute the Dutch reach.

It'd be so much simpler and make so much more sense to just ban bicycles on the streets.

Riding bicycles in traffic is evolving?
A 20 lb bicycle going 15mph mixing with 4,000lb cars is evolving?

Ha ha ha

Ha ha ha
If cagers AND cyclists alike followed the rules of the road, there would be no abrasion between the two groups (other than the normal road rage etc.). Banning bicycles from the road is not the solution, that will incite the massholes to be even worse

Is asking for a little more awareness such a big deal?

Apparently it hasn't worked in the last 20 years. Maybe asking for awareness isn't the answer.
Instead of demanding that the majority change what they do naturally, maybe insisting the tiny minority stop their foolishness.

It's just not rational to mix a slow, flimsy, inconspicuous mode of transportation with heavy, fast, steel vehicles. Especially when the big steel things are required for everyday transport and the slow, little things are not.
Obviously bicycles CAN be used for everyday transportation but for the vast majority of us that's not at all practical.

Why should the conflict between the 2 be resolved be the majority?

Sorry, I thought we were having a discussion.
See, where I'm from the response to a statement is to either agree with it or refute it. To respond with sarcasm and bring unrelated ideas to cloud the conversation is juvenile.

I'll try to stop wasting my time
