You forgot about that old tractor that someone turned into a mobile home...gotta stop and take a pic of that......or the inevitable..."where does that road go?"......

I dont have the part "Truckin" in my name because I was a nuclear surgeon for most of my career.

Actually, my route just went to . I have to go to Ruston La first.
Have to be there Monday night. Be out of there Monday afternoon, then to Eagle Pass by Thursday AM.

mucho dinero mileage pesos!

.54 per mile....roughly, 1K miles. $540.

1000 miles / 40mpg = 25 gallons

25 gallons x $2.00 per gallon = $50

$50 / 1000 = 5 cents per mile fuel cost

That leaves me .49 cents per mile for Ins., tires, chain/sprockets.

Not even going to count the miles back to DFW. another 450.

smiles per mile? priceless.

I think I need to change the oil today....

Route sounds better to me now, especially if you're riding the Tiger 1050 in your avatar list. Put some 50/50 tires or better on it and have some dirt fun on the way. Go south at Port Arthur to Sabine Pass and jump on the beach after Sea Rim SP and ride sand all the way down Bolivar to the ferry. Then Bluewater Hwy to Freeport and coastal and intercoastal to Corpus. Then jump west to Laredo, take FM1472/Mines Rd (turns into Eagle Pass Rd). Last 50-70 miles into Eagle Pass being a very rough and sandy, semi maintained dirt road.
