Daily Craig: Let's take 2

Ok, it is my son's birthday. He isn't having people he doesn't know sing to him at a Mexican or Italian restaurant. In fact, he isn't in town. However, the kid is a big Astros fan and I would like to appeal to the team to do something they haven't done this young season. WIN TWO IN A ROW. Is that asking too much? The team was brutal in April. They are unbeaten in May. Now back to my youngest kid. He has a Master's degree which suggests he probably shouldn't be an Astros fan, but it's his town and his team.

He treasures being hit in the head with toilet paper when Mike Scott threw that no hitter in the Dome. He treasures the times we left a game early to beat the traffic only to have the Astros win the game while we were trying to get out of the parking lot. He treasures going to spring training with me and having Bigg and Bags call him by name in the clubhouse. He sort of treasures the time we drove through a tornado after leaving a SPORTS SUNDAY taping in Kissimmee.

So, in closing how about a laugher tonight? Call it a favor to a lifelong fan. It would be a nice present for a guy who buys two Astros tickets on every pay day. After all, he did the same thing with the Rockets. I sure hope the Astros aren't the Rockets.
