KTM 690 smc differences

So I happen to stumble on an 07 KTM 690 smc with 20k miles on it in Oregon for 3200 and it just so happens that I have a friend that knows a little about mcs working within 20 miles of it right now. I told him to go check it out for me. But I am wondering what's the differences between a 2007 and a 2010. Since there is an 2010 forsale in Crosby right now. It's priced at 7500 though.

Anyway back to the 07 what if any weaknesses or issues do I need to ask my friend to check for?

The 2007 is the ugly one dubbed the "beak" for the weird front fairing. It has less travel in its forks and the exhaust goes underneath the frame. Id go with the 2010

<<<>thats a 2010

Google 2007 and u will see the diff.

If it were me, Id look for a Enduro R and buy supermoto wheels. Only thing u will be missing is the super stiff, shorter travel suspension and Brembo Monobloc caliper. That way u can have 2 bikes in one instead of just a supermoto....the Enduro R are also cheaper used and are still being made.....
