love my fz09, rode the fz07 which you can throw around a bit more but the power of the fz09 is worth it. cheap maintenance wise too

i havent insured it yet cause I have it taken apart right now to do some work, progressive gave me the cheapest rate on my street r6 though.

Anyone compare FZ09 to Speed Triple (not street triple)? I'm looking for something bigger than my SV and was considering these two used bikes. I like the idea of FZ09, but with used bike ~6K + 2K for suspension = 8k. I could get a fairly recent Speed Triple.

Are you 100% SURE you'll NEED that suspension?

If I was going to take it to the track (current plan) - probably - SV needed it. For street only - I'd ride stock suspension. I probably could do it for less than 2K - maybe 1K - springs and a shock

Leaning towards the FZ-09. Just wanted to see how it stacks up against a heavier, more powerful triumph.
