Aerostitch Elkskin Roper Glove- $49.00

Those of you who have spent time working on a ranch or doing any sort of ag work might recognize these gloves. They are thick, hardy, and made to last. But being designed for cowboy work doesn't mean they aren't perfect for riding. It doesn't take long after putting these on to realize why most motorcycle cops where elkskin gloves when they're riding 8-10 hours a day.

Aerostitch Elkskin Roper has a one-piece palm for a perfect fit and no seams to tear

Aerostitch has taken this design of glove that has been proven time and time again over the last several decades and updated it with just a couple modern amenities for the rider. The pointer finger, middle finger and thumb are all touchscreen ready, so if you have to access your smartphone on the go, there is no need to pull your glove off. There is also a squeegee for rain on the thumb, which I really appreciate being moved from the pointer finger because I have a tendency to pick or wipe my nose and get a painful reminder that that thing is on there.

The palm is made of one solid piece of leather, which gets rid of the seam ripping issue that tends to be the only detriment of gloves with this high quality of leather. A single snap closure at the bottom of the glove secures it at your wrist, which we much prefer over velcro because, while you lose the adjustable fit, it won't grip onto the liner of your helmet if you want to throw your gloves in there when you're done riding.

Aerostitch Elkskin Roper with a little bit of wear. The natural leather soaks up oils and gains character with age.

These beautifully simple gloves will gain more life and character the longer you wear them and are so comfortable and tough, they're sure to become a favorite. At the low price point of only $49, for a product that will last you ages, the Roper Gloves seem like a no brainer.
