Dynamic Prime Factors to make BSB debut

The Surreybased team is managed by former BSB racer Steve Plater

THE 2016 British Superbike Championship will see Prime Factors Racing make their debut after competing in the FIM Endurance World Championship last season.

The Surrey-based team formed in 2014 and made an immediate impact as they secured the National Endurance Championship in their debut year. Wanting to make the step up to the world stage, Prime Factors Racing headed for the FIM Endurance World Superstock Championship last year.

Despite being up against more experienced teams, Prime Factors still made an impact and secured a strong finish in their first 24-hour race at Le Mans.

The team is managed by former British Superbike racer Steve Plater and will run in both ther premier MCE British Superbike Championship and the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 class continuing the use of BMW Motorrad supported S1000RR machines.

‘This is a very exciting opportunity for everyone at Prime Factors Racing,’ explained Plater. ‘BSB is undoubtedly the most relevant series in motorcycle sport, and with 2016 being its 20th anniversary it was a perfect opportunity to make our debut!

‘We're confident that with the calibre of riders we have, coupled with the support from BMW, we won't be there to make up the numbers and our goal is to mix it up with the more established teams!’

The team’s 2015 rider line-up is set to be announced in due course.
