No Supercross round in Houston in 2016

Well, this sucks.

I guess attendance was not justifiable of a round in H-Town

Don't even get me started , I know I have been going to Houston SX for over 17 years straight , this is horesshit. Houston is always a packed show I can't even fathom how they decided to push us over for Michigan or something. them.

I read it had something to do with scheduling conflicts due to the NCAA Final 4 tournament next year. Still , IMO.

Last supercross race I went to there was very little racing invovled. Mostly just guys soaring the triples, doing whipits and pointing to the crowds all DURING the supposed race.

I just believe that if you're gonna race then race. If you want to just pose for the cameras while doing tricks, there's the monster/rockstar/redbull shows for that.

You sure you weren't at a freestyle event? Every supercross race involves real deal racing aside from the introductions and the track walkthrough with a mic'd up rider. After that you have 2 heat races per class, 2 lcq's per class and a main event for each. So, that's a total of 8 "races" you missed out on by attending the wrong event. And riders usually whip or scrub on purpose as it gets the bike back to the traction filled dirt faster. The final lap of a race is usually met with some sort of showboating provided the rider has enough of a lead to do so.

With that said, I'll be making the trip to JerryWorld on February 20th for some "racing".

Who said anything about Supermoto? We are talking about Supercross, which is the MX series for the AMA.

i did.

regarding the assumption that attendance wasnt enough to bring it here....(I was making a connection that people are upset its not coming after it being here so many years, when no one bats an eye that there is no real supermoto scene)

im aware what SX is lol

Supermoto... Didn't they have that at the X-Games about 9 years ago? Apples to oranges when you're trying to compare that to supercross.

ya. AMA doesnt push it because they probably think it would take away from SX. i dont even know if they have a SM series anymore.

but i wouldnt say apples to oranges. they are pretty similar in many ways, and maybe would even gain a larger fan base since it merges road and dirt.

I have friends up there that I can visit. I've aways wanted to go to that stadium anyways and I can stop off and ride Freestone on the way home Sunday.
