CoTA ?'s (MotoGP)

I know I'm pretty far out but tickets are available and I've missed out the last two years due to work or hotel availability. I'm looking at the Ducati Island tickets on T12. Am I understanding this correctly that there are no big screens on this turn? I've been to Jerez and Sachsenring and I don't think I would want to be without.

I'm trying to decide between the Island and the VIP Village. I don't know what the general consensus is about the Village but for $1k a pop it better be pretty awesome. The only thing that turns me off of the Island is the potential lack of screens and being two up on the bike in stand still traffic for hours. Panigale's are nut roasters.

Anyone have experience with either of these options?

You can see a few other turns from the stands there and the parking is prime(right in front of the stage inside-ish of the track). If you could spring for the vip go for it. I was leaning towards that next year but we're riding there this time. I think meeting the riders face to face would be worth it and having a a/c'd place to eat and enjoy the complimentary food and OPEN BAR! Beer is 10 bucks a pop for a 16oz I think. I drank a good 150 worth over the weekend... not including off the track. A friend of a friend also got to ride one of the BMW race bikes around the track and he also got a ride along in a safety car. The last two years, we always went to watch the race at turn one, the highest point and there's a monitor right there. With the vip you get multiple screens inside with the a/c.... Can't give up the roar of the bikes though!

We have been every year and just get gen admission, plus rv on site. When home is 100 yards from the track, you get to see everything the whole weekend.

As far as the big screen over there, I thought there was one directly across from those stands. Might have to look at some videos and pics to see.

Just cause the screen is there doesn't mean they will use it

The one at T11 was never turned on this year.

.
That's no . in 2014, we were at turn 3-5 and the screen was off. Everyone started to during moto2 and by the end of the race it was on.

Thanks guys. Leaning towards Duc Island now. Sucks that paddock passes are so expensive.

What were traffic times like from downtown? I was in and out in Germany but it took over 4 hours to get out of Jerez. Just looking for a general idea.

I'd say about 30 minutes to an hour. We always stayed just outside of downtown and it took about 15 minutes with traffic from but in car to but on grass with beer in hand. If you're an early bird on race day it should be around the same. VIP is expensive but you could get general admission with a paddock pass and itd be less than 400 per person.

P.S. If you don't get motorcycle parking or decide to drive instead, make sure you get lot T parking!!!

How did you like Germany, where did you end up sitting?

We had a great time in Germany. Sat at T1 and would recommend it. Food and beer were great. Made a pit stop in Bologna to see where the Panigale was born.
