Disappearing victim allowed accused deputy killer to go free in 2013

Before being charged with the murder of a Harris County sheriff's deputy, Shannon Miles faced felony charges in Travis County. Miles was accused of nearly stomping a man to death in Austin, but the case was dismissed.
