Yeah the tree of shame is right at the beginning of the Dragons Tail on the North Carolina end.
It doesn't help tho'. We rode the Dragon only 3 times and saw a Buell, a ZX10 and (sniff) a Ducati 1098 crashed.
Even with that we almost got a $600.00 ticket from a tennesee state trooper. It is hard not to be stupid on a road that has 318 turns in 11 miles.
I got lots more pics and as soon as I can figure out how to get the stoopid computer to download them I will post more.

I don't know the actual miles but it took us 12 hours. We were in a cargo van with 2 streetbikes, towing a trailer with 2 racebikes, so we couldn't go much more than 80 mph.

That's what we did. After Barber we spent a week in mountains of NC. It was great, beautiful scenery and twisty roads. It didn't even seem like we rode 300 miles a day.
Heres some more from Barber and the mountains.
