Randy's Rants May 13, 2015

Time to revive Randy's Rants.   I think it's been long enough!

Ok, pulling out the Bee Gees for this one .  Rockets bounced back nicely in Game 5 Tuesday night to pull to within 3-2 of the Clippers.  Now the series shifts back to LA's Staples Center for Thursday's Game 6.

Staples wasn't kind to the Rockets in Games 3 and 4 when they were beaten by a combined  58 points in losses of 124-99 and 128-95.

I've heard the "pressure's on LA" too many times.   That's not the case at all.  They are the better team and good chance they will respond and close it out.   But.. and yes there is always  a  "but"...  the Rockets can pull off the shocker if they protect the ball, hit their 3's.,  Howard/Harden go off and they can get Jordan and/or Griffin in foul trouble.

Here's a preview of Game 6:

Our James Starks is with the Rockets in LA. He'll be live all afternoon and evening on  Thursday.

This came as a surprise to me but they released their 2nd round pick from 2013 rather abruptly.  Turns out, according to a source of our James Starks, that his refusal to play special teams was all Bill O'Brien needed to hear.    He had no use for him after that.  Swearinger was told Sunday of the decision and he promptly broke the news on his personal Instagram page.

Swearinger was in high demand quickly and landed in Tampa.  Here's who else had interest.

The Texans will open OTA's May 26th followed by Mini camp in mid -June.
