To be or not to be a new motorcycle owner

I love my zx6r.. but after riding the grom. It's so comfortable and quirky.

I was wondering if there is a bigger bike i can take on longer trip that can make me smile as much as the grom.. that can take my gf and i easily on the freeway

Just don't buy "new" from a dealer. Instead buy "slighty used" with about 1000 miles on it and you'll save a ton.

How is that a plus?

Never had a problem parking any bike next to any other bike. Machines don't care. Their owners might.

Any of the 1050 triples will be a blast. I'm very happy with my Sprint so far, and it's plenty comfortable for me to ride distances, though I have yet to go more than a few hundred miles. The Bandit 1200 is another sport tourer that I've had that was very fun, but also very comfortable.

Since OP is a current Kawi owner. The Ninja 1000 would make a great first sport tourer. Now that the revised '14+ are out, the earlier model years are going for cheap. The bike, by itself, would make a great commuter and runabout. Throw a set of hardbags on the back, and you are good for a weekend tour with your gf.
