Man hit, killed while walking across feeder road in east Houston

A man was hit and killed while trying to walk across a feeder road in east Houston.It happened around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.  According to Houston police, the victim walked onto the service road of the 5700 block of the East Freeway eastbound when he was struck by a white car.  The driver who hit him stayed on the scene and waited for officers to arrive.Investigators say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
