Report: Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley out for season after surgery
Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley will miss the rest of the regular season and the playoffs, according to a report on NBA.com.
The report said Beverly had surgery on his left wrist.
After Sunday's win over Washington, Houston entered Monday second in the Western Conference, a half-game ahead of No. 3 Memphis, and the Rockets' biggest concern is having enough players ready to go in the playoffs.
"It's nice to win the games, but it would be really nice to get healthy. That's our biggest thing," said coach Kevin McHale, who noted that Howard will sit out Monday against Toronto in the second game of a back-to-back set, and also made a passing reference to Patrick Beverley missing the rest of the season.
"I'm not sure about Pat," McHale said. "Probably won't come back."
Beverley is averaging 10.1 points, 3.4 assists and 4.2 rebounds in his 56 games this season.
