Heavy rains soak SE Texas; dry skies by evening
Heavy rain caused a mess for morning commuters on Friday. The rain began to intensify late Thursday evening and continued to intensify overnight so that the morning drive was replete with puddles, ponds and even fully flooded roadways in a few spots.
