Houston Texans players hit the streets to #PassItForward

Houston Texans players are hitting the streets on Veterans Day to surprise veterans and fans around town for the team's #PassItForward campaign.

Xavier Su'a-Filo, David Quessenberrry, Randy Bullock, Brandon Brooks, Duane Brown, Tim Jamison and Kendrick Lewis, as well as Houston Texans Cheerleaders surprised fans with gift cards, autographed items and team gear. The Texans revealed the locations, such as Verizon, Academy, Kroger and McDonald's, via the Texans Twitter account.

The caravan ended at 11:30 a.m. at American Legion Post 472 where the players spent time with veterans.

The team has two other events Tuesday:

1 p.m. Get in the game with Chris Myers: Second graders at Rodriguez Elementary School will be among the first students to enjoy recess on a new play field as Chris Myers helps them officially open the school's newly refurbished community soccer field.

3 p.m. Operation Finally Home with Shane Lechler: The Texans, and partners Pulte Homes and Operation Finally Home, will hand over the keys to a brand new, mortgage-free home to Lance Corporal Ceontre Shelton, a Purple Heart recipient who sustained multiple injuries including the loss of his right leg while trying to help soldiers under attack in Afghanistan.
