MotoGP 2014 Championship standings after Sepang

Rossi extends his lead for second place in the Championship

MARC Marquez has now won twelve premier class races in one season, but has already secured the Championship win. Movistar Yamaha's Valentino Rossi is looking to secure second place in the Championship.

Both Movistar Yamaha riders Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo are battling it out for second in the Championship, however after a second place in Malaysia compared to Lorenzo's third Rossi is now ahead by 12-points.

Dani Pedrosa had another DNF this weekend and therefore is now over 33-points down on the chance of second.

Andrea Dovizioso is comfortably sat in fifth with Monster Yamaha Tech3's Pol Espargaro and Bradley Smith in sixth and seventh respectively.

After yet another DNF, Cal Crutchlow is down in fourteenth with only 63-points.
